i am in the process of making an access database of an address book to a bunch of cemeterys, abandoned buildings, haunted places, etc. i want to save everything to my laptop so that when my friends and i go out to visit these places, i can just bring my laptop along and have the maps and location info ready. since i wont have internet access, i want to save everything to my hard drive. basically for each database entry, i want to have a link to a mapquest page, a link to the forum thread that talks about the location, and links to any other sites with info on the location.
now, the link to the map is easy, all i have to do is save the page. but how do i go about the other ones? some threads in the forum have multiple pages with pics embeded. is there an easy way, or do i have to pretty much go and save each individual page?

I tried a Google search for 'saving whole webpages' and got some hits. Most seem to be payware, at least the ones that let you pick and choose what you want. I think you would have to DL multiple pages, then edit out what you didn't want.
But the easy way if you have enough HD space is just to save the whole pages in HTML format and use your browser offline to access them. You should be able to use HTML tags in Access to link to them, though that is a bit beyond my knowledge. -
thanks for the tip.. i couldnt find anything either. although i remember some program i had a few years ago that would save a page, and you could also save a certain number of links into the page automatically.
oh well, i found out how to link to files in access, so ill just save the files and link to them. -
Teleport Pro is a fantastic program for this type of thing

Yep it does it.
Adobe Acrobat Pro can too. AT download.com they have a bit of every type of program you could use.
