I was watching son of Mask with my daughter. She loves this movie and the dog in it. Does anyone know what type of dog this is in this movie and do they make good pets.

I believe thats a Jack Russell Terrier. Same as the first movie, though a different dog.

From a movie info site, "Two dogs were used in the film to play "Otis". They had their fur dyed in patches so that they matched on screen. The talented dogs were each taught different tricks."

EDIT: I have a couple of friends that have them, very active dog, good with kids.

I've always found them to be nasty little bleeders. Get a Dobermann instead
He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.

Nah, get a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Also small(ish) active and good with kids.

Don't know about catching rats, however I believe they used to put them in pits with rats to see how fast they could kill them.

Not sure I follow your question MackemX.

I refuse to watch the movie because it looks 100% horrible. One of those movies that I'd watch and then vow to invent a time machine to stop it from ever being made.

Pugs and corgis are the most awesome dogs ever because they are filled with awesome.

I just wasn't sure why you didn't like the movie . It's probably more a kiddie movie anyway and I didn't even know it had been released over here a few months back

    Jack Russels are fantastic dogs.

Very smart and fantastic with people (not babies or small children). Very active and do bark quite a bit (bark easily at strange noises - quiet around the house). They are small (usually no more than 15 pounds) and generally very healthy (usually live to 15 or more - my two are now 7 and only one has needed the vet once).

They need a lot of activity, it's nice that they're small - a ball and a flight of stairs can be pretty good exersize. Not known to be good with kids - however my female is great with kids (the male stays away from them).

On a similar note, I love Eddie.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

One more: Could be a good thing or bad - these dogs are extremely loyal to their owners.
