Hi,
I looking at building a new "budget" PC.
So far I would like to get this mobo
ASRock K7S41 Socket A (Socket 462) SiS 741 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
and this CPU
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton 266MHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket A Processor
I just want to make sure that this CPU and MOBO will work together. Thanks

fRom what i know, yup they will work together and get along quite nicely
and yup amd rules! -
They should work together, though the CPU FSB is slower than the MB's. But for about the same price, you could get something like this:

You will find it runs much cooler and is a little faster for the same cost.
I don't know much about the Foxconn MBs, but there are other micro-ATX mother boards in about the same price range with on board video.
AMD Sempron 754 CPUs are a bargain right now. The one I have in my media computer runs about 28C to a maximum of 33C. The CPU above comes with a heatsink also. -
i like redwudz's suggestion. only thing is i would go with a mobo more like abit or dfi. or even asus, msi, or gigabyte. im not a fan at all of onboard video, maybe pick up a cheap mx4000 or 9200 which would still be 10x better than anything onboard lol.
