if you look at that case you will see that the side window has a fan in it with a extendable "thingie" my question is does this connect to the CPU or what?

    thanks for the help!

    you mean this here?

depending on the motherboard you put it there, it could line up with your CPU
and depending on which way you put your fan in, it could (theoretically) increase the cooling your CPU gets.

    mostly, it's a gimmik
I've never heard of that brand, and the construction looks like it could be of low to only OK quality.
i've never understood the point of having all those damn lights in/on a PC

  4. It's called an air duct. It's designed to channel air directly on the CPU for better cooling. Unfortunately with so many different layouts on the mobos it's pretty hit or miss whether it'll actually line up with your CPU.

They rarely align properly with the CPU cooler. You can also get a flexible tube that you can adjust to the CPU position. Most of those fans are set on exhaust, not intake, so you have to turn them over for that. If they have no intake filter, you may blow a lot of dust and dirt into your CPU cooler.

I've built 6 computers with this ANTEC case which has the air duct over the cpu.

The air duct does sit right above the cpu. It cools the cpu very well. I have 3 other antec cases that does not have the air duct. 1 of them has a AMD chip that has some high cpu temps at the moment.
