  1. Hi all,

I've tried searching existing posts but have been unable to find a similar post to this.

I've used svcd2dvd for a while now without any problems but on the last 3 coversions I've tried svcd2dvd only seems to convert half of the divx/xvid film. What I mean is that when the finished dvd is played back there is all of the audio present but only half of the video.

As I said this has happened on the last 3 different videos that I have tried to convert to dvd. I haven't changed any settings on svcd2dvd and the original divx files played fine from begining to end.

I am at a loss as to why this is happening and any advice would be grateful from anyone has any thoughts on this, or has experienced the same problem and is aware of what is causing it.

    Thanks in advance!

It could be down to a number of issues - no disc space, bad sources......

    Can i see your log?

  3. Thanks for the reply.

Being a relative beginner with svcd2dvd you'll need to let me know how to go about posting my log!

logs are in the "log" folder under the location where you installed SVCD2DVD. By default this is "C:\Program Files\BadgerIT\SVCD2DVD v2\logs"

Select the one which represents your problem & either email it or copy & paste into your post on here.

  5. Ok thanks for that.

I've emptied the drive that i'm converting on so there's currently 15gb of free space on it. The original divx file is 1.4gb. I'll try converting it again and if that doesn't work I'll post the log from that attempt.

    Thanks again for the help!

  6. Ooops!!

Lack of hd space, that was the cause.

Thanks for the point in the right direction!

    Fantastic program by the way!
