Hi, all! I just purchased myself a nice 32" HDTV LCD. I hooked up my Cyberhome 500 to it with Monster component cables. The picture is excellent when I select NTSC in the DVD player setup. However, when I select P-SCAN (progressive scan output), it's not as good (btw, the TV automatically recognizes progressive scan and switches to 480p mode). It's somewhat dark and a bit blury. Shouldn't progressive scan be better since it displays all lines at the same, thus eliminating the flickering? Or am I doing something wrong? Should I try another DVD player and see if it makes a difference? Or the problem is not with the DVD player, but the TV itself? Or is it something else? I'm lost... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey vratner,
I noticed the same thing when playing DVD's that are interlaced (TV series, etc.). Looks much sharper using 480i with component outputs.
Regards,
Chas
