  1. ok this has got me stumped so i would appreciate any help what so ever, ive got an xvid 23fps which i would like to convert to dvd 23fps ive tried mainconcept, choosing progressive frame 23fps, gop set to fast, and pulldown automatically selected, ive tried outputting as a multiplexed mpeg stream and converting the audio to ac3 seperatly but everytime audio is way out of sync. ive also tried using quenc but always the same result, ive played about with the settings but cant seem to find the cause. i also had a similar problem with a pal 25fps xvid which i couldnt get in sync, which could or could not be related. any ideas anyone?

more info about your source ?

Is the sync out because of drift, or is it just delayed / in advance ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Try DGPulldown to do the 23-29 trick. Before you make your DVD, mux the audio and video just to check it.

  4. thanks for replies, the audio is about 2 secs in advance all the way through it doesnt appear to be drifting.
i thought mainconcept aplies the pulldown as it is checked 3:2 as default for 23fps settings, ive tried muxing before authoring but always the same.
i will try the dgpulldown, see if i get different results.

try adjusting the delay, given that sync is out by a constant amount the whole way through.
    Read my blog here.

  6. ok, i tried the pulldown seperatly but no difference, the audio is still about 2 secs in front. ive tried muxing before authoring so its not an authoring issue.ive never tried getting the audio in sync manually, what would be the best program to use, do you just play about till you get it right?
ive posted a screenshot of gspot info, if thats any help?
