I finally purchased a DVD recorder and it came with MyDVD. The installation did not complete. Now I cannot complete the installation because I receive an error messages that the program already exists. Unfortunately, I cannot find it through "search" or in my registry. The tech help at MyDVD keeps sending the same message - remove the program before reinstalling. Easier said than done. Any suggestions on how to remove find this program would be greatly appreciated. Or, if anyone would suggest another avi/mpg to dvd conversion program that works for them.
Thanks
Otis

Try searching the registry for "sonic". Use regedit or eq. Delete all entries with that value.
As always backup the registry before editing -
Thank you, but I searched for MyDVD and Sonic - twice in the registry. I found only two entries and they were deleted. So frustrating.
Otis.
