  1. I may have put this in the wrong place...how do you make a avi brighter? It is a little dark to watch. Thx

    Watch on your computer? then can you change the video overlay brightness under your graphic cards settings.

    You can't while burning it, but if you are encoding it to MPEG-2 for DVD, an encoder like TMPGEnc has an adjustment for brightness. If it's still in AVI format, VirtualDub or other similar programs have filters to adjust brightness.

    Generally, when a DVD is viewed on a TV it is brighter than when viewed on the computer. If you are converting to DVD, check this first before you adjust the brightness, or it will be overbright on a TV.

  5. when I download it, it says that it is a avi file, but after it downloads, it says that it is a Windows Movie and VirtuaDub cannot work with that? Thx

    VirtualDubMod, maybe? Never tried to open WMV for editing. Usually make or watch them, nothing else.
