  1. Hi,

I am trying to create a DVD which has one menu and three video clips. I have set Menu as First play. After a video clip #1 is selected from the menu, I can view video clip #1. After video clip #1 has finished playing, video clip #2 starts playing automatically.

After video clip #1 has finished playing, I would like to display menu (instead of automatically playing video clip #2) so that I can make a selection as which clip I would like to see next. Can someone tell me how I should do this in Sony DVD Architect 3 and TMPEGnc DVD Author 1.6?

    Thank you,

    Joe

I'm unfamiliar with Sony DVD Architect 3, but in TMPGEnc DVD Author - go to Menu Display Settings. You should have two drop down boxes. The first says "Firstplay Action" - set this to "Display Main Menu". The second box says "Action to Take After Each Track has been Played" - set this to "Display Main Menu".

Ulead DVDWS2 can do this too, as well as DVDSP. Just edit the playlists.

  4. Thanks Fairhope, but it didn't work. The video clip #2 starts playing rautomatically after video clip #1 ends.

Do I need to create three seperate tracks for three video clips? Currently I have only one track for all three video clips.

Also on the Menu Display settings window I selected Automatic Settings. Is that's what causing the problem?

  5. You'll need to create a separate track for each clip and choose "Only Track menu" in the Menu Display settings. The track menu on your final DVD will allow you to play each video clip separately or play them all one after the other.

  6. Thanks RowMan. I added the video clips as seperate tracks and then selected "Display only Main Menu" as I don't have track menu. It worked fine.
