Hi, I am a newbie to burning analog to digital and have recently purchased the Hauppauge Win TV PVR USB.
I have had great succsss in converting 4 of my 60 minute VHS tapes to DVD. The resolution is great and playable on all of the families 5 various brands of standalone players. I burn in DVD ROM all of the time.
My burner is an external BenQ 162I, 16X dual layer and I keep uptodate with my firmware and only use the Media that their support suggests and that is Maxell, Sony, TDK, Imation R+.
Overall I am superbly happy with my burner. No coasters out of 60!

Now, I am venturing into the analog to digital as I have an immense collection of VHS concert videos that i want to convert to DVD.
I have been using the Ulead Movie Maker 3 that came with the Hauppauge, however there are little instructions and I manged to get the end product done, however I wanted to "title" it and only found the box where the title could go, however no instructions on how to get it typed in the box.
The cursor was there for typing however it would not accept my attempt at doing a title.
I would appreciate any help, thankyou.

Also, I thought that I should also ask; I have the Nero OEM version 6.3.1.23 which does not contain Nero Vision Express which I saw in one of the forums works a bit faster.
I phoned BenQ support regarding this and they suggested that i go to
and download the latest version. The site that they suggested was [url]http://url[url]www.nero.com
Then they suggested to simply download it overtop my current OEM, does this make sense???
I was simply wondering if this is possible since i don't have the purchased version.
I want to compare the time in Ulead Movie Factory 3 and the Nero Vision Express.
I would appreciate what the experienced members have to say, and again thankyou.
Cheers and I appologize as I don't know how to use your "url" insertion.

  2. Double click on the title box to bring up the edit dialog.
