Ok, this seems very wierd - I'm recording to DVD+RW on a CyberHome 1200 then creating an ISO image with DVD Decrypter and burning that ISO (with DVD Decrypter) to a raw master DVD-R. From there I re-decrypt the video for mastering (to edit & add menus). I've been using TMPGEnc DVD Author (v1.5.20.62) to create the menus, but when I do so and burn the VIDEO_TS folder (with Nero Ultra v6.6.0.18 ) the sync becomes progressivly off, so the audio is coming in seconds after the video. I've double-checked the original "raw masters" and they're fine.
Anyone have any ideas on this? Or alternative programs to use?
Thanks for any help![]()

Come on, *someone* must have encountered this before?
I tried using Ulead DVD Movie Factory 4, but it doesn't like the VOB files.
Tried DVDA - don't like it. Tried DVD Composer - don't like it.
TMPGEnc is the only one I've found that is SIMPLE to use and does what I want QUICKLY. But it's useless as log as it puts in this bloody delay.
Are there no other programs that are as quick & easy as TMPGEnc? -
Ok, of cause some people have encountered this before...

Maybe you could try the following:
1. Recording to DVD+RW on a CyberHome 1200 => OK.
2. Demultiplex the result directly with projectx (you may also do basic cutting thereby) to your harddisk derectly. If that doesn't work you may also use your usual procedure (creating an ISO image with DVD Decrypter and burning that ISO (with DVD Decrypter) to a raw master DVD-R) and demultiplex this result with projectx.
In each case: Use the resulting elementary streams with TDAGUI for dvdauthor:

Any idea what the heck is going on here?
The original VOB files are all perfectly in sync when played back individually, or burned - but as soon as I try and do anything with them, they seem to go out of sync.
This is getting quite frustrating.

Could you check if these two streams:
.Video (m2v): 112301 Frames 01:02:27.110 'C:\RAW\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.m2v'
Audio 0 (mp2): 156130 Frames 01:02:27.120 0/0/0/1 'C:\RAW\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.mp2'
are still in sync? (use mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran)GUI for dvdauthor:

Both Media Player Classic and VLC play them out of sync. I didn't both re-muxing them.
-
OK, but as the streams have at least the same length, it could be a constant delay. In this case, it could be easily corrected with mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran...
