    What is the most advanced program for edit vide files, encode to divx/xvid, mpeg2 to divx...?

    It requires an extra plugi to read mpeg-2 (Vob) files I believe. Most editors are targetted at avi, mostly DV format. Some, like Womble, are targeted at mpeg-2.
