While I realize this is a question brought up often, I have yet to see a topic that covers all the subjects I require. If there is such a post here, I apologize.

I have a few hundred (Yes, hundred) OGM / MKV files, all of them have subtitles and all of them are dual-audio; sadly, I have yet to see a dvd authoring software that reads in either of these formats.

So my question is, is there an easy way to take these hundred+ OGM/MKV, dual-audio, subtitled videos and convert them to something that most dvd authors can read? (I.e. AVI with .sub)

If there isn't (I'm willing to bet money that there isn't), are there any advanced Windows macroing tools that could do this for me? Like I said, I have several hundred videos that I need to convert, and I can't sit around for days on end doing it... Or at the very least, what are some conversation softwares that allow you to make a long list of files to convert / strip audio / strip subtitles?

A little related question: Whats a good DVD-authoring/conversation/recording software? Anything under $200, thats a package... Like I said above, hundreds of files - not a lot of time... Plus its not exactly fun to click a few buttons, wait a few hours, then click a few more buttons... Then wait another 30 minutes, and repeat the entire process again.

Well thanks in advanced to anyone that can help me, and once again - I am sorry if this has been answered else where, I used the search but couldn't find these exact circumstances.

Actually I think you will find that it is covered by a few guides already:

mencoder can decode one of the audio streams and mux it with the original video. Should also be able to demux the subs. Simply create a script and have it process all files in a dir.

    Heyhey!
I made exactly a guide for that..
    I'm surprised you didn't saw it =(.

Unfortunately, for the meantime, I only did it for OGM (1vid 2audio 1sub).. I'd be glad to make one for MKV for you, only if you're willing to help me out (I don't have any MKV anime videos...)

    It's batched.
Also.. for OGM.. I didn't quite know what format authoring software were using (I use DVDAuthor GUI and it accepts everything, even the *.SRT in the container.. so I didn't use another soft to convert).

    Anyway here's the Tut.
