I currently use Pinnacle Studio8 for editing video.
What's the easiest way to create & add blank/black space to a video--for example, at the beginning of a video, to have something to superimpose the titles over. I thought about just unplugging the video input from the capture card & capturing several seconds of nothing, but I was wondering if there was a quicker way. TIA

I haven't used Studio in almost 2 years now, but if I remember correctly I just opened Windows Paint program- which starts with a large white space. Use the fill tool and fill the space with black (or whatever color you want), then save it as a .jpg or .bmp.
Split the video at the point where you want the title, then click on the title tab and find the black picture you just made.
