  1. Does slideshow creating software exist that will allow me to narrate some of the pictures while playing background music with others? Are there any that exsist that will allow me to have background music and narration at the same time? Are there any that exist that will allow me to save the slide show as MPEG so that I can compile it with other slide shows in Nero or Phillips tool kit 2.0?

If you want to do a narrative for each photo you may have to get a sound editor and create a recorded track of voice/music...WinOn CD will let you create a title for each slide and display it on screen.

  6. So I would have to create a audio file for each seperate slide and connect the audio to the picture. It seems like you can do either background music or narration but not both in the same slide show without creating a audio track in audio software that would run the lenght of the slide show. And, if you want audio in the background of narration you would also have to create that in some audio software that would make video CD compliant audio file. Is that right? If that is the case is there audio software that works well with a good slideshow or VCD creation software? Thanks

    1. If you want only text narration with background music WinOnCD 5.0 is the best.
    2. If you want audio narration or/and text narration with background music you need tool like Ulead Video studio 5.0

  9. I've used Premiere to do what you are talking about.
I did short comercial for a friend that owned a business using this method.

    1) Create the slideshow without any background sound in Premiere.
    2) Play the AVI back and record your narration. This way, your naration is base on what is being displayed.
The result of your recorded narration should be a WAV file that correspond to what people will see during the slideshow.
    3) Redo step 1 but this time, add in the music background and your narration WAV on a separate audio channels. This way you can control the volume of the music and the narration independently.
    4) Output the complilation from Premiere to an AVI.
    5) Once you are happy with it, convert to Mpeg1/2 and burn.

Whoala!!! Worked well for my first ever commercial. I had the wife did the narration part .
