Convert normal video to a kind of cartoon style.

Hi,

I'd like to try to convert some videos to a cartoon like style (if possible only with free tools such as vdub, avisynth,...).

What filter can I use to make a conversion (if it's possible at all) ?

The HQ2X algorithm resize bitmaps and give them a nice effect:

Converting the video to bmp then resise them with hq2x then resize them back to original size and rebuilding the video from bmp takes too long time.

How cartoony do you want them ? You could try playing around with brightness/contrast or levels, then hue and saturation. This will take you toward a posterise effect.

I'd like to get an effect like if the videos was hand drawned or like a vector image.
