I have backed up about 12 of my movies using DVD Decrypter and most of them play fine. But 2 of them (Vanilla Sky and Bruce Almighty) play at 4:3 in my DVD player, while they play correctly at 16:9 in my computer.

When I put any other of my backups in the DVD player, they play correctly at 16:9, so I don't think the problem is a setting with the DVD player.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

There are two points that a DVD marks the aspect ratio - in the video and in the ifo files. Most software players are happy with either, so if it is marked 16:9 anywhere it will play back correctly. Standalone players may not be as tolerant (and all are not created equally), so if the disk isn't marked correctly, your player may not pick it out. I would start by checking the aspect ratios in the ifo files using ifoedit, and change them if necessary.

Agreed. You may want to look at IfoAR2WS if you are not familiar with ifoedit

    Thanks for the info.

I will apply those changes to my files. But it seems the cause of the problem is DVD Decrypter, I uninstalled and reinstalled and it is no longer creating the problem.
