Just bought some of these from Supermediastore. MID code is MCC02RG20. Mitsubishi Chemical? Last bunch of Prodisc I bought was FO1. Good? Bad? Fake? I've burned two disks so far...one on a BTC that burned fine at 8X and one on a new Mad Dog 16X that burned at 12X. Both good burns and just about max capacity. Price was $61.00 for 200 delivered.

Not fake. Prodisc is one of the manufacturers Mitsubishi Chemical Corp uses to produce its discs.

My Pioneer 108 and 109 both have no issues with the MCC02RG20. I also print with an Epson R200.

What I bought were -R ....I didn't check prices on +R media since I don't use it. The Prodisc -R 8X white printable seems really good. Burned 4 discs so far out of this order and alll have been perfect.

I was scared to order some of these for my newly setup Canon iP3000 printer, but have been pleasently surprised at the quality of this media. I had heard that they were iffy at best. Burned 50 of the -R's and so far the burns have been as good as if not better than my MIJ Maxell's.

Previously I've used these discs with no problems. Just bought some recently and they are terrible. Disc would not verify after burning.
I wish I had checked before I made the last purchase. It seems that recently a lot of people have had problems with these discs.
Good luck! -
I just tried some Prodisc dvd-r 8X inkjet hub printable as a replacement for my regular budget brand which is Ridata dvd-r 8X inkjet hub printable. I use Taiyo Yuden for important stuff and master copies.
The Prodisc periodically freezes on my player and doesn't play at all on my PC. The same content burned on Ridata plays fine on both. Despite positive comments on here and on digitalFAQ.com which suggests Prodisc has improved and is now rated above Ritek/Ridata, my own results cannot vouch for that. Sorry, Prodisc gets a thumbs down from me. -

I'm not finding any reference to them)
Sooo, the point of this is- what item number at supermediastore were those Prodiscs you got with the MCC code? I'd really like to give them a crack as the prices are great right now.
Also- how many media veterans out there think I'm being an idiot for still playing with Prodisc as opposed to stepping up to Taiyos for media I'm going to distribute?? The cost difference is obviously why I'm trying to make the Prodiscs work, but should I just bite the bullet and pay more?? (distribution of 1000 DVDs per month = way pricey!)
As always- I appreciate any opinions and response . . . -
Good luck on the Prodisc.
I've had to return them to both SuperMedia and Meritline. This has been upsetting as I bought these last year and didn't have one single bad disk. I burnt 12 out of 200 and only one disk verified. Although most failed near the end of the disk, one failed within the first 10% of the disk.
As the shipping charges are killing me, I moving to TYs. I've spent over $60 on shipping charges and have nothing to show for it. -
I had the same problems as dfluke. When you would fill the DVD Nero would give you verfiying errors and if you played the video you would get chopping problems near the end. This was ProdiscS03 though but will never buy ProDisc again.

Anyone else recently purchased this from supermediastore and received MCC discs (rather than prodisc code?) The MCC discs have always worked really well for me, and given the low prices, I'm thinking about ordering another 200 or so. Of course, that would suck if I ended up with prodiscs rather than MCC.

I recently bought 100 Ty and burned 30 of them with out any problems. All of them verified 100%. Just placed another order for 200 more.
My advice at this time is to stay away from Prodisc. -
I've used prodisc 8x inkjet printables and a Nec ND-3500ag burner. I never had a bad burn but the playback quality was crap, I'll never use prodisc again for my personal archives
Is what we learn indeed a fact, or someones opinon?
