  1. Can someone recommend some easy to use software for what I want to do.
Basically, I wish to re-author a DVD - keeping & compressing menu's - disabling some of the menu options, editing the main movie (i.e cutting out most of the end credits), compressing extras or removing them depending on space left.

    thanks

I don't know of any one software that will do all that for you in one hit, but I do know that DVDRemake should be able to help you out with most of those things.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Use DVD Shrink to encode, re-author, edit and shrink the image (choose ISO) and DVD Decrypter to burn.

DVDShrink in reauthor mode means you lose menus altogether, and you can't disable some menu options in it
    If in doubt, Google it.

  6. jimmalenko , exactly what I was going to say. Hence my reason for this post. I normally use dvd shrink, very easy to use, but fails in what I want to do. It would have been nice to have been able to edit the main title in FULL DISK mode !! IS that too much ask for an enhancement ?

  7. You could rip all files in DVDDecrypter, then run it through VobBlanker. Blank an extra and it disables the menu button. You can set start and end points for program chains. The latest version is also capable of shrinking menus to still frames. Free. It's not a one-click kind of program, so you got some learning to do, but well worth your time. Good luck.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!
