Hi,

I was wondering what is a good "target sectors" size for a dvd+r DL?

I am using DVD-Rebuilder to shrink down a dvd that is over 8.5GB. Obviously it is not a commercial disc, it is one I have authored myself. I did not encode the video though, it is taken from other dvds. So it is not a case of me messing up my bitrate calculations.

I use DVD-RB for shrinking to single-layer discs, and currently use 2260000 as the "target sectors" (when editing the .ini file). I believe I changed this from the default size, which left quite a bit of room on the disk. I would now like to shrink down to the size of a DL disc.

So, what is the maximum size for a DL disk, while still being "safe" enough not to be full of errors at the end of the disc?

Thanks for your help.
