Is there any software/settings to enable the dv movies to be renamed automatically according to its shooting date and time when transferred to my computer? In addition, how can I save dv as individual files, as would a digital camera record every video as an individual file instead of a long one consisting of several video clips captured at different times?

A DV camera records basically as a single stream ( although it is possible to break the timecode stream by starting after the last timecode has stopped - this can cause problems with transferring later in some cases), but keeps a timecode in the data so you can easily break down the capture by scene if your software allows it. Most transfer software will do this, but what it's called and how you switch it on varies, so look at the help files or manual. As for naming scenes by date or similar - again this is a feature of the transfer software.

to rename DV clips according to the datecode you may use DVdate 5.0,
