  1. Anyone know any good mpeg 4 compressor software that will play back on my motorola. Most new motorola phones are capable of playing mpeg 4 files. However, I've been unable to get my phone to play videos I made on dr. divx. Any advice is appreciated.

Only a guess, but your Motorola might only handle AVC/h264 MP4 files. Check the documentation, there must be something about this. Also try encoding with Super - http://www.softpedia.com/progScreenshots/SUPER-Screenshot-23696.html

I doubt it would be AVC. My guess, SP MPEG-4.
Dr. DivX outputs DivX/mp3 avi's. Your phone I would imagine supports mp4 files. Now you could remux your avi to mp4 using say mp4box, however I don't know what exactly your phone supports, so it still might not work.

Also I would use XviD and not DivX, also aac audio instead of mp3 if it supports it.

A lot of phones also only support h.263/amr 3gp/mp4's.

Use, ImTOO 3GP Video Converter v2 to make 3gp files that
    play on your phone.

  7. I suppose I should give my phone model. Its a motorola V600. It only has 5 mb of memory so I highly doubt it plays .wmv. I know it plays mp4 I checked the specks, and it even has a motorola commercial sample video on the phone. Anyway, I bought this over priced wireless computer connection to my phone. I've gotten all kinds of mp3 files on there for ring tones, but cant get mp4 on. Unfortunately the stupid blue tooth hardware didn't come with any info on downloading mp4. I'll check on what you guys said, and if anyone can think of any other software let me know.

  9. I had a hard time getting that yamb program to work. I opened my video stream, and pressed the mux button, and my mp4 never showed up. Any ideas?

You'll not get much MP4 on your phone either with only 5 meg of memory. Do you not have the option to upgrade the memory ?
I put a 256MB card in my V980 to replace the 32MB card it came with.
