A story about success

I want to tell you a story. A story about success.
I have a lot of chapters of "friends", the best tv serie in the world , captured from TV and saved in avi format. And when I say I have a lot of chapters, I mean A LOT. So I wanted to make mpg to watch them on standalone DVD.
Let's make some mathematics:
1 chapter -->30 min
1 season -->24 chapters
1 serie -->10 seasons



I first started to play with another program: take a chapter, demultiplex, calculate bitrate, modify audio, transform to mpg, multiplex...when you have 12 (to fit complete season in 2 DVD ) , make a menu (not a big one), and if you are lucky , everything fits in a DVD (take care about background music menu ).
Making numbers, it can take you ... lets say... 9 hours. And you must do it one by one!!! Well, you will say:
- Can't you batch the process??
- No, because every chapter has diferent duration (25min, 30min, 28min...), and you must calculate every bitrate, one by one(remember you want 12 chapters in a DVD,and of course as big as possible)

Well, yesterday I took 12 chapters as assets, made a good menu, and after 7 hours I was watching my favourite program on TV.
So:
-chosing assets and fit : 2 minutes
-making a menu:5 minutes
-having a burned DVD after a "short" time, while you are doing anything else: priceless

This is the best spent money ever. I was looking for a good video sofware and I have found "THE VIDEO SOFTWARE". And what can I say about support? Thank you.
