I attempted to play back some DVD-R's on my PC that were recorded by someone else. When I opened it with Windows Media Player the picture was heavily pixelated and distorted. I tried opening it with Real Player and it had the same problem. Same problem with the player in Media Center.
When I opened the same DVD's with Power DVD they played perfectly. I never had any of these problems with disks I recorded on my own stand alone recorder.
Anyone know what the problem could be or how to fix it?

Hi,
?????
If you can play it fine with powerdvd why do you need to use wmp?? I don't know what your issue is. You could rip it and convert it to avi if you really had to use windows media player, I just don't know why you would. I like a full fledged dvd program like power dvd better personally.
