  1. Hello I just replaced my Panasonic dvd recorder with a new Pioneer wich does a lot better of a job of making dvd's with. I no longer have the audio promlem like the Panasonic had but I am needing some help here using the Signvideo DR 1000 Image Enhancer. I was wondering what settings do you guys use when putting vhs onto dvd. I have tried many different ways and want to get some sharpness and detail on my dvd's but when you put too much enhancement on the video it makes it worse and puts too much noise into it and makes it to noisey. Can anyone tell me how much would be just enough to get some detail and sharpness with out over doing it. Can anyone offer me the settings they use all the time when using it such as the Detail and Sharpness controls and the Core and Black level controls. Here is my set up, Jvc 5902 Svhs-DR 1000 Image enhancer-Panasonic Dmr E55 for a time base corrector only- Pioneer 233 dvd recorder. I would like some help with this if anyone can let me know about the settings that I could use like you do. My tapes are all Sp mode vhs and are fairely new. Thanks for any help.

Be sure to use the detail and sharpness maybe a quarter turn, and then the core and black are used to remove noise added by the detailer.
