I have on my pc two partitions with a winxp pro installation on it. Both make naturally use of the same hardware: P4 3.0 ghz and 1024 mb memory and a NEC double layer 3520. Also a dvd player from pioneer 106S.
When i put a dvd in the drive and open disc in dvdshrink newest version then he analyses the dvd. When he does this there is a data speed: approxamaly: 2100-2800 kb/s.
On the other XP installation it is on the same dvd: 4900 kb/s: that is twice as fast!!
THis is also when the DVD is beiing ENCODED, the same speed!
Can this be a setting? Is it the partition who can make the difference in speed?
A second pc AMD 1000 mhz and 512 mb memory is doiing it also with 2500 kb/s. How is this possible?
