Hi all, first post so please bear with a noob and feel free to flame or move this post if its in the wrong area. Also, feel free to driect me to nay guides or other forum topics. And forgive any bad terminology i use!!!

I have been messing around with authoring DVDs for a while now and like overcoming problems on my own but this one has me stumped!!

I have been experimenting with DVDs i have bought (firstly to create back-ups, then to mess around with various pieces of software to test myself!!! Now, the sticky part :

I made a back-up of the movie-only VOBs from a certain DVD, in case the original is ever damaged when a thought hit me. i re-authored that original DVD in DVDShrink but replaced the movie VOBs (of which there are 5) with a single "Video Has Been Removed" VOB.

This means a new set of DVD-compliant VOB files which have the correct DVD and menu structure (containing all the extras and the rest) and i also have the movie VOBs separate as 5 files (VTS_01_1 -> VTS_01_5).

Now the crunch part....is it possible to re-insert thosem movie files into the back-up of the original DVD? Is is a reltively simple task of editing the IFOs on the backed up DVD?

Tricky one for me but judging by the smarts around here someone may just be able to help!!!

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Take a look at DVDremake PRO and it's website.
I think it can do what you want, if I have understood your question correctly !
However, it is payware so you may want to try the trial version before commiting yourself to purchase it.
I'm sure you can do this with free soware but it may not be as easy as using DVdremake. ??
