Converting RMVB PROBLEMS

I tried using alot of the converting programs but none of them work
i mainly use WINAVI
When trying to convert rmvb to mpeg, nonstandard, avi, dvd, vcd. I get a BLACK screen with AUDIO. I don't understand why this is happening.
i got real alternative codecs, i got the codecs all-in-one. No matter what program i use, i keep getting black screen

but converting anything from avi to mpeg to dvd, its fine
just RMVB causes problems

anyone know why?
I have a bunch of rmvb files waiting to be converted to divx or dvd
i need help

Suggestions? Such as "don't use any software from Real Networks, and delete all the .RM and .RMVB files from your machine"?

I looked through this whole forum already, i went into those 2 threads before
the answers aren't in any of these threads

It's damn slow and has black level issues but it's the only program I've found so far that converts RMVB files without audio sync problems.

yeah i tried eo video, damn slow lol
and makes the file huge as hell

oh i found the problem, i installed a program that was causing problem towards converting
once i uninstalled it, it worked
