    a. Did you install the Intel Reallib binaries?
    b. Did you try it with renaming your .rmvb file to .rm, to see if it works better that way?

Just tryed with a movie encoded in RV30 that worked fine..

but it seams it dosent like rv40 also drv4.so.6.0 is not in the reallib .. so maybe that is why ?

  5. It seems that the audio stream comes first. Did you try the "invert mapping" option ?

"invert mapping" is a function of the ffmpeg engine. When using mplayer/mencoder it isn't used, so it won't help with Real files.

If ffmpegX's mplayer plays your Real file okay, then there should be no trouble decoding the file. Hmmm.
I'm on a PPC, so I wouldn't know about the perks of the Intel binaries, sorry.

  8. Gilberts, any luck on this one?

I'm getting the same problem...I've succsessfully encoded from an another rmvb, so i know everythings installed right. (I don't have the old file with me to see what might be different )
