I have been using Maestro lightly doing the same thing for a while now, but now im trying to tackle the problem slightly differently.
I had a bunch of XVID files, which using WINAVI I converted to DVD MPEG-2 with AC3 Audio. I would have usually used TMPG to encode just the movie without audio, and then Goldwave to rip the wav and use besweet to convert to ac3, but winavi does this all in one fail swoop.
So now I have a bunch of MPEG-2 files with the AC3 muxed in, now I could demux the audio, and video, but then the audio would be back in its wav form. This isnt what I want.
So my questions are:
Can I force Maestro to accept the mpeg file without having to do audio and video seperatly? If not, are there any programs that I can use to seperate the audio from the video without changing their formats?
Thanks!

DVD Maestro only accepts elementry streams. Also, if you demux the files, the audio doesn't revert back to .WAV, but stays as an .AC3.

Is there a program which can easily demux the file into A/V?
Also would I be better of switchin to a new authoring program such as DVD-lab, as Maestro is older now? I used Maestro for its excellent subtitle capabilities, now I just need a Author program for flexible menus, chapters, and no reencoding of the files.

Wow installed DVD-Lab pro, and i must say it looks almost like a clone of Maestro!
It even demuxed the mpegs for me, which rocked, gona test out this app as it looks real promising. -
so are you going to sell your copy/dongle of maestro then ?
