    can anyone tell me the best program for converting different files eg:avi-dvd, mpeg-dvd etc. at the moment i am using WIN AVI video converter but find it very slow

    DivxtoDVD for speed and better quality than Win-Avi

    I have manual processes that leave any one-click-wonder for dead quality wise, but the price is speed.

    Just out of curiosity - define slow

    I'm with guns1inger - of the all-in-crap-one tools, DivxToDVD does quite a good job. But for me, it's the manual way all the way.
