    Hope I posted this correctly!

It ias from one of the "fake" makes of TYs being sold as Sonic. Maybe it's just me and my burners but I;ve had excellent results and always seem to get scans like these. I use and NEC 3500 DVD/RW

I should also add that the disks are DVD-R 8x coded to say they are indeed made by Taiyo Yuden. Of course, we all know better. Nevertheless, they have performed admirably with very consistant results in play back in 7 different players as well as scans such as the one above. So fake or not they seem to be worth the $30 / 100 in 50 disk spindles.

You're using the wrong test, look in extras for disc quality test, to determine the quality of your discs and it only works with certain drives.

  4. It looks good for a 3gb burn. Often, shakey media will show it's true colors in the 3.5gb to 4.4gb area.

Actually though this may not have been the best choice as indeed it was only about 3 gigs, I've scanned nearly full burns of about 4.3 gig and have had almost the same results. Maybe a tiny drop in read speed at the very end. I wish I could use the Disk Quality test but my DVD drive is not able to perform that test. I understand it is simmilar to what K-Probe does? Actually I have to idea how to interpret such scans. I wish I could. Got to learn a lot more I guess.
