    I've converted a VCD avseq001.dat file to .mpg using VCDGear; I need to import this file to Premiere to be able to edit the sound. Premiere does not support the converted file. Is there any program that can convert to avi from mpg? Thanks for any help...

    Thanks for the reply. Downloaded the latest VirtualDub and frameserved the MPG file to TMPGEnc to demultiplex the audio but it stops after a while saying invalid mpeg stream. Any idea what could be the cause of this problem?
