  1. I am looking to buy a new divx player. I heard the new RJ-250PDVX support Nero's divx. How is this player compare to the Philip's divx player?

  2. With this player, it really depends on what the bank30.rom firmware released for it on March 29, 2005 actually does that will determine if it can play the Nero Digital (or Nero's DivX as you call it).

I have a RJ-Tech RJ1500DVXII that recently had a firmware upgrade that did in fact make the player Nero Digital compatibly and it's great!

Try contacting RJ-Tech directly and find out if the firmware upgrade adds Nero Digital or Nero MP4 support as they call it.

  3. Thanks for the info. I think I'll got with RJ-250PDVX since it is more compact and portable.

  4. Cool. I was referring to the RJ-250PDVX in my last post about checking with RJ-Tech to see if the RJ-250PDVX firmware dated March 29, 2005 may have added Nero Digital support for it because there was no change log on the RJ-Tech webpage.

  5. I updated my 1500II with the new firmware, at the very end the writing failed. I powered down and up and it was screwed up the controls and remote would no longer function. I reupdated with the firmware this time it went thru without a hitch. Powered down then up and it would never come back on. The player now is dead.

  6. updated firmware on RJ-tech site for rj-250

    http://www.rjtech.net/rj250pdvx.htm

    notes say:

The purpose of this new firmware will enhance the following capabilities:

    1. Make the subtitle "FONT" clear and easier to read.
    2. Make the subtitle show in 2 phrases instead of 3 phrases
    3. Add new codec, can read New "Nero MP4" format
    4. Better Support for DVD-9 formats

Recognizable by new yellow background powerup screen.

    NOTE:
Date on page says March 26, 2005
Perhaps they meant *May* 26 ??

Also, this update is playing AVI's that it couldn't before,
INCLUDING SOME WITH PACKED BITSTREAM VOPS!!
