I have a BTC 1108. I just finished trying to find the lastest firmware for it on BTC's web site and I can't find it anywhere on the site http://www.btc.com.tw It has always been there before when I checked the web site. Any info?

    Dear ___

Due to web page maintenance the DVD data is off line for now.
Attached is the latest F/W version B0430.
The error message might due to no internal connection available, please try
to disable firewall or antiviurs and try it again.

Should you have any other request, please don't hesitate to contact us
    again.

    Best Regards,

Thanks for your help, but this isn't the latest version. Something strange is going on with BTC. I looked over their web site again and there is no reference to the DVD writers on their web site - no downloadable manuals, no product information, no firmware - nothing. Has anyone heard any business info about BTC?

An update - I sent an email to BTC two days ago which has been ignored. There are no DVD writers anywhere on BTC's web site. Really strange! I wonder if they have just dropped the line or if they sold it off? I have been using my 1108 as a workhorse burner. It does a good job on Prodisc DVD-R media with good scans and no problems on playback. I will not consider another BTC burner in the future but this one works fine for its intended purpose. But the company seems to have vanished with respect to DVD writers.

It's short and sweet but at least the latest firmware download is there. BTC is not mentioned on the site so I suspect there is some sort of business deal that BTC has made with respect to their DVD writers. I would like to know what is going on.
