    I was wondering what tools would I need if I wanna make screenshots of the games I'm playing on the PS2 (or any other game console for that matter) just like what I see on IGN, GameSpot and all those gaming magazines...

    All you need is either an Analog capture card/device or an A-to-D converter, like an ADVC-100.

    I've got my XBOX hooked up into my VCR, then I've got the VCR going my ADVC-100, which goes into my PC via Firewire and back to the TV via RCA. This way I can "capture" from VHS, TV or XBOX on my PC. You can then capture footage or just take stills, depending on what software you're using.
