I'm in the market for a new 5.8 ghz telephone and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about the following models:
V-tech i5871
Uniden ELBT585
Uniden CLX485
Panasonic KX-TG5576M
They all have a color lcd which is cool and they all are expandable. Any info. would be great. I saw the phones at www.101phones.com

Hi,
I've been using UNIDEN for awhile now. Good brand

(a 900mhz phone though...)Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
i've been using a GE 900mhz cordless phone for the last 2 or 3 years, it works great.. even when i'm outside.. very clear signal, good battery life..
i think this whole mhz/ghz thing is kind of like the bit/dpi race that printer & scanner makers have going.. and have been for quite a while. -
a color display would draw a lot of power - who needs a color display on a cordless phone ?

you cant even buy such a thing and they look at you like you are from mars to even suggest a thing ... btw- Internet usage fees here are really expensive (i think) for cell phones .."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Go to Amazon.com and do a search. Their product page has user reviews that should help you out.

Panasonic makes very good products. I would suggest it.
Vtech it's not bad either. -
dont get a panasonic cordelss if your in australia and have DSL. it doesnt amplify the signal so you can hear the person on the other end.
