  1. I did a search and didn't really get the answer i wanted. I know i'll get a lot of different answers, but gimme your thoughts anyway. What's the best dvd player that will play pretty much any format (xsvcd, svcd, etc, etc) you put in it and cost $150 or less? preferrably less.

  6. Daewoo DVG-5000N. $100 if you can still find it, at your local Sam's Club. Plays DVD, CD, MP3, VCD, SVCD, XVCD, XSVCD, DVCD (whatever that is!), on commercial disc, CD-R, or CD-RW. Has karaoke inputs plus component video and optical output (in addition to the standard composite/S-Video/coaxial output.) Has a button on the remote to select the language for dual-language VCDs, which I think is lacking on a lot of similar players.

    It can be made multi-region right out of the box.

    Plus it LOOKS a lot more expensive than $100!
