I don't know whats going on, but I can't convert my avi files using TMPGENC Xpress 3.0 it says only the audio can be opened. So I just decided to try to pop them right in nero and try to burn directly, but somehow I can only fit 4 on an entire dvd? It doesn't make sense, because when I convert to mpeg then the file becomes like 400mb something, and I can fit around 9 or 10 onto a dvd. All advice and help with this predicament is welcome
THanks,
Dain

How are you trying to burn the dvd?
As data dvd in Nero. Why not keep tham as avi and burn to dvd.
Or burn 2 episodes as VCD on each cd. -
Details, man
What type of file is it ? (AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF etc) ?
What Video Codec is used (Divx, Xvid etc) ?
What are the File stats (Gspot screenshot - see here for instructions) ?
Tried the problems page ?
Googled the error ?
When you convert to MPEG, you are setting a bitrate such that the file is only 400MB or so. When Nero is converting for you, it is setting whatever bitrate it pleases, such that the files are around 1GB or so. It's all about bitrate and running time. IMO you're much better off setting your bitrate yourself, by using a Bitrate Calculator, a decent dedicated encoder and a step-by-step guide. If in doubt, Google it.
