hello, I am using DVDflick to convert 6 MKV files that are 550MB each into an ISO,
this has been going for over 10 hours now and its completed 5 of them.
that seems like its taking way tooo long.

anywayz i just want to speed this process up.

im wondering is dvd flick just doing it the hard way?

i always use this program to convert avi's or mpg to iso files.
it always seems to take abnormally too long.

what would be the solution here?

  2. If the file is in MKV container, it is likely H264 or similar hi-def format. AVI container files usually contain divx/xvid, which is much easier/faster to re-encode. A faster computer would be the only solution to speeding things up, or using a divx/xvid source rather than h264/avc codec.

  3. Using DVDFlick, my computer takes about 5 hours to convert one avi to a DVD. I'm satisfied with that.

Try convertxtodvd. its not free but you will get about the same quality as dvdflick but in much less time.
