VirtualDub timing issues

Hello - a often asked question...

I have a ReplayTV and when I suck off the MPG files it is out of sync when I play them in any version of VirtualDub, but are fine if I play them in Media Player for example.

So what gives ? I just want to remove commercials and then use Nero to burn a DVD.

How do I sync this back up and why is VirtualDub out of sync immediately when players are not ?
