I have a Toshiba SD-4900.
Has anyone known this unit to stutter a bit on playing DVDR's? Unfortunately I never see it as it happens when I'm not watching but clients have reported it as though a split second of unintended slow motion. Maybe 4 times over 2 hours. Perhaps not a function so much of it being a burned disk but that it's at a bitrate too high to keep up with? Is there such a thing? It's done it before but never with ordinary store-bought commercial DVD's.
Looks like I will be needing to replace it since I cannot keep having this happen. I'd prefer one that like the 4900 includes built-in 5.1 decoding.
A plus would be the ability to play PAL with PAL output.
