From playing around, i discovered that Ulead DVD MovieFactory will automatically capture DVD video to your hardrive if you choose to import DVD video (i had to use AnyDVD copyright removal to do this)

It imported the movie, Mission Impossible to a temp folder in My Documents, as MPEG-2 files.

It only took 20 Minutes to capture the entire movie to my hardrive, AND THE MPEG FILES WERE FLAWLESS. I mean the quality was identical, just like playing right of the DVD.

It did this so fast, and the MPEG2 files added up to the same size as the DVD (5.7gigs)

However, it ripped every audio track (2 languages plus commentary) so Windows Media Player plays the commentary, and I have to use Ulead MediaStudio to play just the English Audio track.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER PROGRAMS OUT THERE THAT CAN RIP A DVD IN 20 MINUTES TO MPEG2 at IDENTICAL QUALITY AND SIZE, because I can't get this mpeg files to play english track in WMP, but i am ripping these DVD's so I can watch them on my PC with no DVDs needed.

Any comments or suggestions would be great

IT WILL LET YOU SELECT WHICH AUDIO TRACK YOU WANT TO KEEP, AND IT WILL RIP IT TO IDENTIFCAL QUALITY.

OR YOU COULD USE DVD DECRYPTER AND RIP TO M2V (VIDEO) & AC3 (AUDIO), IT'S FREE.

will these programs do it in 20 minutes, and use the same amount of space as the DVD?

    Yep!
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

How do you select the audio track?

I selected one of the VOB files that I got by ripping with DVD Decrypter, and the commentary track was playing.

I tried just using the DVD as the source but it the program kept freezing.
