Free version of DVDFab. This version is called DVDFab Express and allows you to copy copy-protected DVD movies. With the sudden dissapearance of DVD decrypter the need for free utilities to remove the copy protection of DVD movies is obvious. Those who would like to make a backup of their movie in countries where this is allowed will surely like this tool.
DVDFab Express (Free Edition)
This tool is simply the easiest way to copy a DVD movie. Just insert the movie and a blank DVD then press Start. Your entire movie - including menus, trailers and special features - is copied to a single DVD with just one click, and everything happens automatically. DVDFab Express (Free Edition) is a simple version of DVDFab Express. It copies an entire DVD movie to hard disk, and removes all the rotections (CSS, RC, RCE, Macrovision, UOPs and Sony ARccOS) while copying.
We all know DVD Decrypter is a great DVD ripper, why we need nother one? Well, the reason is DVD Decrypter"s development has stopped, so it will not support newer version of Sony ARccOS protection automatically. Fortunately, DVDFab Express (Free Edition) is always updated to support latest protection, so you can backup your DVD movies to hard disk as before. For example, Movie "Closer" can"t be copied by DVD Decrypter automatically, but with the help of DVDFab Express (Free Edition), you can copy it without problem.

Mcafee VirusScan Enterprise 7.1.0 (virus defs 4511) threw up a VirusScan Alert when I downloaded DVDFabDecryptor29.exe and reported the file as a "Generic BackDoor.dr" trojan.

Dear all,
DVDFab Decrypter doesn't contain any spy-ware or ad-ware. It's a false warning of McAfee, you can get the information at http://vil.mcafeesecurity.com/vil/content/v_103069.htm
We hope DVDFab Decrypter can be a useful freeware for people who want to copy new ARccOS protected DVDs

Dear all,
Thank you all for the praise
We will definitely update DVDFab Decrypter to support latest protections like Macrovision RipGuard, but I guess they can't find a buyer to use their weak technology :P

Thank you again for dvdfab decrypter
It worked just fine 8)
A question just out of curiosity though - why does it make an AUDIO_TS folder, an empty VIDEO_TS folder and a "Disc 1" folder (which is where the files get ripped to) ? -
You DA MAN!!!!
Thanks for your efforts, and I intend on trying your other software to back up my DVDs, and especially my TV episode DVDs, and will purchase it if it fits my needs. Again thanks. Some days it seems as if all I'm doing is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic -
