Backing up Die Hard. How to remove brach version & keep

Okay, so I'm backing up my Die Hard, 2 disc collector's edition. In shrink I see that the "Extended Branching Edition" is title 3 on the disc. However, in the structure window of the "Full Disc" mode the main movie has title 1 and 3 combined. So, I can't shrink down the extended version while keeping the theatrical version. if I re-author the dvd I could just keep title 1 (theatrical version), but I'd lose all the menus. Frankly, I have no idea why they even put this extended version on the disc as you can see the extended scene (along with several others) on the second disc. So, is there any app that will let me remove title 3 and keep the menus? DVD Remake is no help as I can't figure out which titles compose the extended version. Any help would be appreciated.

yes there is, two of them, both freeware:

play the titles individually from the source dvd folder in powerdvd to see which title contains the extended version.
