    Hi,

I'm trying to make a backup of Live Free or Die Hard but I'm having problems. I've tried a few times & it always gets stuck at ~48% when I try to rip using AnyDVD's Rip to Hard disk tool, the error message is AnyDVD couldn't read the disk. When try to rip only the main movie using AnyDVD+TSMuxer, it gets stuck at ~66%

Has anyone successfully ripped this movie, or is it not supported by AnyDVD? I'm using AnyDVD 6.4.7.9

    Thanks

    First things first...

    UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!

    That's a FEW versions outdated!!!
If you knew how many post's are made by people asking why they can't rip some newer dvd and are using software outdated, even by years sometimes, and just an update of ripping software fixes the problem.......

Second, have you tried ripping it with any other ripping software, in a diff. drive, is the disc clean & scratch free ??

What's the newest version, 6.4.7.9 is the newest version on Slysoft's download page.

    http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

I just checked the disc, it's pristine, no scratches or fingerprints. I only have 1 blu-ray drive, a GGW-H20L.

Well if you click the link in your own post, the 1st post, you will go here,
    https://www.videohelp.com/tools/AnyDVD

And it is listed as v6.4.8.4 beta, it seem's kind of funny they would jump from 6.4.7.9 to 6.4.8.4, i would think there would have been a few versions in between those 2.

Is it a bluray disc you are trying to rip ??

So I ripped the full disc using Anydvd & the total size is 32.7gb, if I keep just the main movie + AC3 audio, its about 16.4gb. How can I keep just the main movie & the menu structure (main menu & pop menu)? For example, I use vobblanker on DVDs to keep just the main movie+menu & blank everything else. This way the menu still works, can something like this be done on blu-ray movies?

    Hi,

Does anyone know how/where the menu files are stored in a blu-ray movie? If I remove some m2ts files (extras), how will it affect navigation of the menu, scene selection etc.?

    Thanks for the help
