    Studio 9 supports encoding to AC3 2 channel or 5.1. Mpgs with AC3 are down mixxed to 2 channel stereo. You need to d/l the most recent patch..

    I thought it is a addon you have to purchase seperately - not a patch!

    It comes in different variatys. Plus comes with AC3 2 channel. Studio 9 Theater version comes with both. The codec pac for regular studio 9 is $9.99. The handling of AC3 in mpg files is supported for all in the newest patch. I think the topic question was if studio 9 supported ac3 which it does.
