Output video I get from this only moves maybe once every second when I play it. And BBMpeg-vfw won't accept aviscripts like it's supposed to. I resize my avi's using .avs to 720x480 like BBMpeg FAQs say but software crashes.

Take a deep breath and try to restate your problem more clearly. People here want to help you, but you have to explain your issue better.

Unless you're doing research for a museum, you waste your time on this. Get some other encoder.

It's very picky what it accepts (an imported NTSC has to be 720x480 w/48 KHz audio). I got it to take avi files after I resized them w/avisynth but can't get the audio to sync (or get wrong pitch) with video (even if I process audio separately then mux video). I think it's a kind of poor GUI but the quality has been a little better than TMPGEnc (and I've been using that every day at least 3-4x).
