    I have just reinstalled TMPGEnc Plus 2.521 and I am trying to convert a avi file into a mpeg2 file. I am using the Project Wizard, PAL and VBR MPEG-1 Layer II. Each time the program says the file cannot be opened or is unsupported. I have done this before and I know it works with this program and this file. I know there is a simple answer but I cannot remember what it is. There is something to do with the settings but what...? Can anyone help me?

    Option-EnvironmentalSetting-VFAPI Plugins

    Change the priority of the AVI plugins until you get it right. Make the DirectShow Plugin high priority.
